February Favourites

It's not the end of the month without a favourites post, am I right?

To be fair, there's probably other things I could have included, but when I sat down and thought about it, these were the products that I've been giving the most workout this month. Or at least the most memorable workout. Or... never mind.

Starting left to right, we've got Percy and Reed's dry conditioner, which I got in my February Love Me Beauty box and which I have been loving. Seriously, out of all the products in that box, this has been the biggest and most pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure what to expect of a dry conditioner, having a somewhat mixed relationship with its shampoo counterparts, but this one knocked it out of the ballpark.

We've also got a KIKO nail polish. If you haven't heard of them, KIKO is an Italian make-up brand which is really big in Italy, Spain and France, and also has a store in London and online. They're also one of my absolute favourite make-up brands due to their mixture of quality and purse-friendly price tags. I've actually had this polish since France and I popped it on my nails recently. And, my, I've remembered why I love these. They're just so lovely, the formula is great, and in terms of longevity, it lasted a good three days before it chipped (and that's after two Jitsu training sessions. Oh, yeah!)

Next, kind of obviously, is the Nuxe clarifying cream mask, which I love, love, love, because it smells so nice and it is soooo hydrating. Full review here, if you want more details, but definitely worth the price tag.

I mentioned a while ago that I was on the prowl for a new moisturiser. I was trying out some Lush samples, but for whatever reason, none of them really did it in for me. After my mother listened to me bitch about irritated skin and blemishes, she sent me the Avene Hydrance Optimale in Light. (Thanks, Mom!) This has been exactly what I needed, and I predict it's going to be a repurchase.

In terms of make-up, the La Roche-Posay foundation has been my go-to product this month, along with my trusty KIKO eyeshadow in Pearly Shell, and this little quad from Miss Sporty. In all honestly, I'm not sure how to feel about the quad - on the one hand, it gets the job done. On the other, I have a complicated relationship with eyeshadows, so I'm not sure if it's going to be a repurchase. It's kind of powdery and a lil' bit too shimmery for me. However, I have my eye on a Stila pallet, and I've vowed not to get it until I use up this one. So, all the more reason to try and try again until I find a look that suits me, right?

Shout-out goes to my Yves Rocher lip balms, which I didn't snap a picture of,  but which are pretty much living in my pockets these days. (And they're kinda running out. I should get replacements, but I'm holding out until I have enough products to buy to justify free delivery.) (Unless I nip over to France in the meantime.)

In terms of non-beauty favourites, I mentioned that I've been writing letters a lot. I like all my sets from The Works, but this one has been really the one I've been reaching out for the most. Don't ask me why. I guess I really like the design.
