So, without further ado:
Last week has been full of deadlines, reading, stress, stress, stress, and a particularly nerve-wracking grading. So today's been all about taking it easy, walking around, and wouldn't you know it, the weather decided to cooperate for once!
I've been giving my KIKO nail polishes a workout this past week, with this one being the latest. This is not my favourite of the colours, since it takes a few more coats before it settles, but it's such a pretty green that, given how wonderful the weather's been, it would have been a shame to let it linger in the drawer.
Made a couple of cheeky Boots purchases, one of which was the Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in Kiss Me Coral. I've been eyeing MAC's "See Sheer" for a while now, and when I swatched the colour of this in store, I was certain it was a perfect dupe. Won't know for sure until I got the other one, of course.
Also, you may not see it here, but for once, my Bourjois eyeliner didn't turn into a hot mess, so yey for that!
Nestle Unsweetened Cappuccino. I've been laying off the coffee lately, but it's nice to have as an afternoon treat. Also, I decided to get it when I needed coffee the least. *derp*
Postcards! I got these from WHSmith a few days ago, and I just think they're so perfect! I love the designs, and the inside is blessedly blank, so you can write anything from a nice message to a short letter. It's a lot less time-consuming than an actual long letter, it makes one consider carefully what they put in, and it's just such a nice thing to receive. The post office will be seeing me soon!
I have to finish this biography, even if it's super-difficult for me to get into it. Not because it's bad, but because I need to pause and reflect on every single chapter. Making lots of notes, though!
The other cheeky Boots purchase. I strongly suspect that it's a nice dupe of Origins' Clear Improvement. Having just tried it, it does leave the skin feeling similarly to the other mask, although I'll need a little more time testing it to be sure. Sanctuary Spa is currently having 1/3 off on some products in Boots, so I highly suggest checking them out. Their Fresh Faced cleanser is one of my favourite things ever!
Despite having given up on the FitSugar blog (too much fitspiration posts makes a really pissed off Foncie) I found this recipe through it, and I am loving it. Obviously, I modified it some - I added baked beans rather than chickpeas, spinach rather than Swiss chard, fresh tomato rather than canned, and almost no spices. I also skipped the pan stage altogether - I just throw everything on a baking tray and plop it in the oven for 15-20 minutes (I try to switch it off when there's 5 mins left to preserve energy. It does take a while for the oven to cool, so the food just keeps on cooking.) It's a complete no-brainer meal and I love every last bite!
That's my Sunday, pretty much. I hope yours was just as nice, and that you enjoyed the weather.
